Chemical peels
Shamal Aesthetics offers a variety of medical-grade chemical peels designed to improve general skin texture, tone, and clarity. A skin study is required to identify which peel is appropriate for your skin condition. Chemical peels work by gently removing a layer of damaged skin to reveal newer, healthier skin. Our chemical peels use naturally occurring acids and active chemicals to promote the skin’s own regeneration process, which produces new collagen and elastin, resulting in smoother, cleaner skin and a more youthful appearance
The most advanced range of specific chemical peels are formulated to correct skin aging, hyperpigmentation, acne, rosacea, stretchmarks and other skin imperfections. Both superficial and deep peels offer different results and aftercare requirements , thus the treatment is adjusted according the individual concerns and lifestyle.
Chemical peels treat the following skin concerns:
- Acne prone skin
- Fine lines and wrinkles – anti-ageing effect
- Hyperpigmentation/discolouration
- Acne marks from previous breakouts
- Uneven skin tone
- Dull dehydrated skin – stimulates skin renewal
- Enlarged pores
- Active acne
- Light chemical peel. A light (superficial) chemical peel removes the outer layer of skin (epidermis). It’s used to treat fine wrinkles, acne, uneven skin tone and dryness. You might have a light peel every two to five weeks.
- Medium chemical peel. A medium chemical peel removes skin cells from the epidermis and from portions of the upper part of your middle layer of skin (dermis). It’s used to treat wrinkles, acne scars and uneven skin tone. You might need to repeat the procedure to achieve or maintain the desired result.
- Deep chemical peel. A deep chemical peel removes skin cells even deeper. Your doctor might recommend one for deeper wrinkles, scars or precancerous growths. You won’t need repeat procedures to get the full effect.
